Theo Woollett Racing R32 G T R Runs Into The 8-second Zone!

The Castrol sponsored Theo Woollett Racing R32 GT-R has set a new bench mark for Sport Rear Wheel Drive competitors to chase.Although not an official record due to the time being posted at a traditional ANDRA event, the time of 8.95 at 159.86mph makes the Theo Woollett Racing R32 GT-R the fastest H pattern GT-R in the world!

An excited Theo explained “We have been out testing for the last couple of weeks with the new combination after we had a major engine failure at the 2006 Jamboree. We now have the help and support of Brett from GCG Turbos and Rod Stafford from Garrett. With their knowledge, they have come up with a new turbo combo which has been the success to a great weekend at the National Open at Willowbank Raceway.”

The result has come after an enormous amount of work from Theo and his crew. “I spent 3 nights on the dyno with Mark at Godzilla Motorsport so we could get the tune up on the money to be the first 2.6ltr into the 8s. The new found power makes the car a little bit harder to drive but a couple more weeks in the seat and we should see the car run into the 8.7 to 8.8s.”
