Nissan
Twins Set For Clash !
Two of the big guns in the
'GTR scene', Mark Jacobsen and Theo Woollett will
go head to head this weekend at WSID for final
round of the ANDRA Sport Compact Series. !
The
Castrol 'ON EDGE' GTR has completed some pretty
serious testing a fortnight ago and the net result
has seen Woollett and his crew laying down some
of the best times that his GTR has produced. However,
Theo Woollett was out on Saturday to lend a hand
to long time competitor and good friend, Mark
Jacobsen from Godzilla Motorsport in his own GTR.
Mark
is confident about his car's ability to run a
number this weekend. "The car was on the
dyno last week trying to squeeze some more power
out of the already tough RB26." The Godzilla
Motorsport crew have left no stone unturned in
preparation for the ANDRA Sport Compact round.
At
Willowbank Raceway's 'Test and Tune' on Saturday
night, Mark ran a new PB of 9.11 at 152.98mph.
And it was only a fortnight ago we saw the Woollett
GTR run the same time of 9.11 seconds but at 160.43
mph. The two rivals actually joined forces about
three months ago and with the amount of passes
and experience Woollett has at the wheel and with
the knowledge and facilities that Mark has at
Godzilla Motorsport, we just might just see Australia's
first GTR side by side eight second pass!
Be
sure and catch all of the action at the final
ANDRA Sport Compact Round for the year at WSID,
this Saturday, March 10.
With
Woollett's reputation for huge burnouts and Jacobsen
keen to take some glory, it is sure to be some
of the best Sport Compact Drag Racing you are
every likely to see!
